Frequently Asqued Questions for the high resolution photos provided by StockaPhoto
What format are the photos in?
All StockaPhoto photos are in JPG format, RGB color, embedded sRGB color profile.
How high is the quality of the files you provide?
We use high quality professional Nikon and Canon equpement to take our photos. Each photo has passed a careful and detailed editing process in Photoshop to enable the best possible output. We garantee that the quality will satisfy even the most fastidious editors.
What's the level of compression of the JPG files?
We try to always use the "Maximum Quality" setting in Photoshop (12/12 or 11/12). However, with few of the highest resolution photos we need sometime to use a 10/12 setting to keep the files' size under 5Mb.
Are your photos "Royalty Free"?
No. We sell photos on an individual licensing basis. Please, see the License page for more info.
Can I sell photos through StockaPhoto website?
Right now the only photos that we sell are the ones taken by StockaPhoto photographers. In the future we may consider this.
Do you offer refunds?
Once your purchase is made we can't offer a refund. The reason for this policy is because we offer full access to our entire digital collection of photos and, as such, there is no way for our products to be returned. However we may make exceptions on a case by case basis.
Are there any restrictions on my use of the StockaPhoto photos that I download?
Yes. While StockaPhoto offers great freedoms and a wide ranges of uses, we do not allow the redistribution of our photos, or allow the use of our photos within products that are mass distributed in any type of archive format. Check the License page for more info.
If I purchase a subscription are there any other fees I will encounter when downloading from the site?
No, an unlimited membership allows you full access to download any photos on our site at no extra charge, no matter how high their individual price is.
Is account sharing allowed?
No, sharing an account is no different than distributing our materials to others. Individual accounts must be purchased by your friends and colleagues.
I bought a subscription, but it says I'm not activated, what do I do?
On rare occasions our merchant processors may not send the information of your transaction to our system, so your account may not be automatically activated. Therefore, if you have made a purchase of our monthly subscription and you are not able to access photos on StockaPhoto using your details, please send a support request.
